Your mission is to come up with a creative title for Chapters 10 & 11.
Write the title out in quotations
Below the title, write out a justification for your choice -- be sure to pull from those chapters specifically in order to support your title completely.

“The Other Side of the Story”
This title could be used for chapters 10 and 11 because of the important change that happens in the way the story is told. Frankenstein is reunited with his hated creation and threatens to kill the monster because of what he has done. Yet, the monster implores Frankenstein to listen to his story so that he may understand the reasons why he did all the terrible things he did. He says, “By the virtues I once possessed, I demand this from you. Hear my tale; it is long and strange, and the temperature of this place is not fitting to your fine sensations; come to the hut upon the mountain. The sun is yet high in the heavens; before it descends…you will have heard my story and can decide.”(70) Victor surprisingly concedes to the monster and allows for his story to be told. Now, the monster becomes the narrator in the story and we truly get to see “the other side of the story”. By this point the reader has seen that the monster is capable, and willing, to kill people so they have naturally assumed that this is a purely evil creature. Yet now, we can see how the monster began its life completely alone and vulnerable to the world. He goes to a town and the townspeople run away in fear because of his grotesque appearance. As readers, we can begin to see that the life that he has lived has been difficult and he may be more than a mindless murderer.

This could be a title for chapters 10 and 11 because of the "Curious Encounter" which occurs in chapter 10. Frankenstein, with terrible dismay, encounters the beast which he has created once again. There are many reasons why this encounter was so curious. First of all, now the monster is talking to Frankenstein, which, to me, was very unexpected. Frankenstein at, first, wants none of it, he "sprang on him, impelled by all the feelings which can arm one being against the existense of another"(68). He, obviously, cannot defeat this monster. Eventually the monster gets Frankenstein to come into his cave an listen to him. This is very curious because the monster gives Frankenstein a choice, which will cause the monster wither to, "quit forever the neighborhood of man and lead a harmless life, or become the scourge of [Frankenstein's] fellow creatures"(70). Frankenstein chooses to hear this story. This is very curious because now we, as the reader, finally are able to find out the mystery of this monster and Frankenstein is able to know what has happened to the mystery of his creation.
